It's like 3rd "emotionless girl" anime this season. Or maybe 4th even. Count with me:
- There is a bullied emotionless girl.
- There is a suicidal emotionless girl.
- There is a "pretending to be a robot" emotionless girl (this one).
- There is also a brawny girl, who is, technically not emotionless, but she is holding back most of her emotions, failing at holding back anger.
- Oh, there is also isekai emotionless girl. Although, also not entirely emotionless, but very reserved, at least.
Take your pick, I guess.
I did not like this one, although the girl is cute in some of her reactions. Mostly because of the male part being stupid while trying to be presented as very smart and observant. Like, why did he started noticing listening devices and people on the roof only after an explosion near him, and not before? Did some shard from explosion penetrate his brain and give him some superpower? He also did not question Marie having a gauze and needing to rest in bed (unless he is in denial). Furthermore, if he wanted to ensure Marie is an android... Why did he not try to pinch her with a needle?
Marie is not much better, as well, though. She clearly quite capable physically: she caught up with a car, and even was able to jump on it. But then, when it was required to get out of the burning basement she could not jump, grab a hold of that window (they are called "windows", right?) and pull herself up? This does not add up in my brain. If this was a light-hearted comedy - ok, maybe. But it did not look like comedy is the focus here. Which is, probably, another reason why I am skipping this.
