Summer Hikaru Died, yuri style? And with sea/ocean instead of the mountain/forest as an inanimate character. At the least it definitely has way better narrative structure, and it's more clear from just the 1st episode what the show will be about, which gives me more hope for it. Hinako also seems like a more interesting character in general. I also liked how they "drowned her" when she was lost in thoughts, really leaning onto the theme when showing "drowning out the sounds" mood.
