Kind of "meh". It even oversells itself in the beginning, when some kid is reading the intro. "Lots of people died in weird ways" or something. Not that many, not that weird. The plot is essentially generic "cops can't do anything right, but some random people can". It's clear that protocols are not follow thoroughly or sometimes at all. The obvious place was not checked for whatever reason, and suspicious circumstances were not investigated.
I think the most memorable thing for me in this movie is that somehow hugging a crying child or giving your student a ride home is considered "inappropriate" and "unprofessional". This is ridiculous. I agree that having some distance between teachers and children may be a good idea, but this is going too far. Unless you want your teachers to be heartless.
From cinematic perspective it's good, same as with actors' play. They can deliver some uneasiness, for sure. But when illogical things are already noticed... That does not help with believing into what we see on screen. Helps even less with the ending that felt like a bit of a letdown. If this was some indie movie based on short story by Stephen King (probably his earlier works) - that probably would be fine. Actually, now that I think about it, compared to some other media nowadays this may even be considered "good", but saying that feels weird, when we are essentially comparing to a 90s B-movie quality of a story. 6/10 for me.
