Replace "court magician" with "party member". Really, the title may try to convince you, that this is not an anime about a party getting rid of a secretly OP member, but it is. Him being a "court magician" did not seem to add any gravitas to the situation. In fact, it made situation less believable for me. It was mentioned pretty early, that Alec was assigned to prince's party by order of the king. I am no monarch, but I believe prince can't overrule king, until he becomes king himself.
Then there is this strange rule from adventurers' guild... Why would they require 2 years in the guild to allow to go below level 13? Yeah, I get that it probably is more dangerous and all, but... Time does not equate power. Maybe the person is so OP, that it does not matter. Also, how would they even confirm, that a person did not go to level below 13th? If they have guild members on every level checking passports, that sounds like a waste of resource.
So, I am dropping this one. Redhead reminds me of a Final Fantasy scholar (in their classic clothes), but that's not something that would keep be watching the show. I can also already predict, that the king will be apologizing for prince's behavior in like 3rd or 4th episode. Maybe later, but that will definitely happen.
