The way the girls fawn over their teacher is... Disturbing. I mean, they seem to be children, much younger than the guy, right? Although for some reason Ellie has a sizeable cleavage which does not really match her proportions, I think. There is also too much time spent on showing how they are already in love with Allen. And too little explaining how the magic actually works in this world, although the main plot point that started the whole story just begs for it. "Why you can't cast a spell? Let's go to basics and start form scratch, so that we can figure things out."

Yes, technically, they did mention some thing, but very obscurely, and more as Allen thinking, that everyone is wrong, and he actually knows the truth. While he may be right somewhere (no idea), there is no real compelling reason for us to believe that, because... As per our knowledge he did really do anything that amazing, besides lighting candles. I still will give a final chance to this with 3rd episode, but they probably would need to switch genres to make me stay.

Episode 3:

I did not feel the weight of mana manipulation. They were just saying it's dangerous, that another's like is in your hands, but visually it was just... Boring? Normal? There was no real risk there. Then this "just keep it a secret" rubbed me the wrong way, as if subtle grooming. It does not look like MC is doing that, but still feels off.

The owner's mark seemed to have too much importance than it would make sense. Why would an owner only mark some of the books, and not all of them? Isn't that the literal purpose of the owner's mark? Or maybe it was just that only those specific books were owned by the same owner (I am avoiding a potential spoiler here)? The guy drew too many conclusions from just that mark, it was forced, and the "reveal" probably was too soon, although it could have been an overarching mystery through-out the whole story.

There is still no proper explanation of the magic system, too, so even less reasons for me to continue.
