I think the bit with dad crying over mom's portrait as if she is dead (but not) and complaining about their daughter, is something I saw somewhere else with almost the same lines. But I think it was a bit less annoying, and the girl did not look like Max from Life is Strange franchise. If the reviewer guy did not read some explanation for the game that's mandatory - that's his fault. And the fact that he did not try to read them after failing - as well. On the other hand, maybe mechanics in the game were too obtuse. Still felt more like mostly his fault for not giving the game a fair chance. Probably will drop, but will give a chance to 1 more episode. Mostly to see how they will spin the "conflict" between the two.
