Episode 12:
I feel kind of disappointed by where the show went in the end. Or more like by the fact, that it did not hold my weight. It touched some serious topics like, upholding peace through power, choosing your own path, and they did get a resolution, but it was "meh".
Like there was this "betrayal", that did not have any gravitas, because I did not like or trust the guy from the start. He also did not seem much important, and I guess that's why Alek was not really shocked by that. Or at least that was a very weak reaction. What's worse there then was a "rehabilitation" that felt too rushed and forced, as in "we need a happy end".
Speaking of "rushed and forced": the romance. Of what I guess they tried to show as romance. I never saw Sharp as a girl, really. She was behaving like a boy most of the time, and I did not ship her with Alek at all. They work as friends - yes. But romance felt out of place, especially in the end. Sharp also has a big plot hole: did she not have her period while all the stuff was happening? There were timeskips, so it feels like it took a month. But even if it was not a month and she was just lucky... How did other soldiers not notice anything? During trainings, during showers? Seems extremely unlikely to me.
Overall, I think the world is interesting, things were shot quite nicely, but the story under-delivered. Wonder if because they cut stuff from it to fit into 12 episodes. Not a bad watch, but could be better. Probably like 6/10.
