A giant, even by his races standards, he suffered a terrible loss in his middle aged years which turned him into a wild unkempt drunkard who loaned his axe to any who would hire him, never staying to long and gaining few friends.
During these dark periods of his life he came across the young struggling mage Jan, who for some odd reason stood by him, even during his darkest drunken moments. This developed into a strong bond of friendship which helped Druss pace out his drinking, and gain more of his older self, a warm, loyal and taciturn man. When Jan joined Alexi Karios and his Section 9, Druss followed without a second thought, and has found a group of adventurers who dont care of his past and instead care for the man he is now.
