Lady Guuji
Kaede is the guuji (head priestess) of Shizuoka Shrine, established in Hingashi. She tends to the shrine daily along with a handful of miko, as well as a miqo'te receptionist named Lucoa and an auri specialist named Kinami. Shizuoka Shrine is also part of the Hingashi-based Free Company, Takaamahara, which seeks to instill the virtues of Shinto philosophy--though not necessarily its practise--in the hearts of others.
Part-Time Dance Instructor
Kaede is a practitioner and teacher of the Nihon Buyō style of dance, and is proficient with the bladed chakram used by Mistress Nashmeira's Troupe Falsiam, though she learned it from a different instructor. She also knows several other ritual dances, and regularly performs the Kagura dance alongside her miko during special ceremonies.
Seiken Rai
Kaede is the last living scion to the Jihi no Seiken ("Holy Sword of Mercy") style of swordmanship, a discipline which has run in her family for generations. She was taught by her grandfather, and rarely wields the style in combat due to not believing herself worthy.
