Jubei is a warrior-poet with a strong sense of personal honour. He lives by a warrior code that states that one's own actions are what dictates one's honour. Due to this, he has a great respect for truth, honesty, and being direct. He is often seen as a gruff loner, who angers easily.
Jubei hates when those in power abuse the weak and innocent, especially when children are involved. Despite his angry exterior, Jubei has a soft spot for kids, often taking it upon himself to mentor and protect any around him. He is often irreverent and rebellious towards authority figures, though he is a reliable ally and capable (but reluctant) leader. Jubei has also occasionally displayed a wry, sarcastic, and sometimes silly sense of humour.
