This is what adventurer had to say during it:
One of Vana'diel's preeminent Red Mages. Born in 856 of the Crystal Era to a noble Hume family in the far northern Empire of Rhazowa.
After the Great Crystal War, Andre studied magic for many years under the tutelage of his Master, Former San d'Orian Temple Knight, Rainemard Mecru. After Rainemard's disappearance, Andre took to studying with Scholar Maruna-Kurina and Former Orastery Minister Shantotto.
In 883 CE, The "Silent Empire" of Aht Urghan, in dire need of mercenaries to assist it's faltering armies, opened it's gates to adventurers seeking employment. Andre traveled to the east with countless others, discovering a fondness for Puppetry and Alchemy on the distant shores.
In 886 CE, the reactivation of numerous magical portals around Vana'diel, dubbed "Cavernous Maws" spurred the Allied Nations to send adventurers to investigate.
Some returned with reports of having been whisked away to the wartorn past of the Shadowreign Era, during the Crystal War. While others told of a far uncharted frontier, whose sanguine sky was an ever-present portent of looming destruction. An unforgiving world long forsaken by the gods--a world called Abyssea.
An unlucky few seemed to be lost in the void beyond. Andre was one of those.
Deemed "dispensable" by Atomos, The Devourer of Time, and deposited in a wasteland of memories, a world between the worlds, He found himself adrift on the Winds of Time until the Dawn Goddess, Altana, took notice.
Should a time come when all we hold dear stands on the brink of oblivion... o merciful Altana! Grant us the wings to soar once again!
Rise up Champion of the Dawn!
Andre found himself awakened on the sun-baked wastes of Thanalan with a no recollection of his past self, save an old malfunctioning pocket watch and rusted relic of a sword in his possession.
