Silus grew up poor in Coethras, growing up in the slums Silus dreamt of working on machines since he was very young. Around the age of 10 he began learning the ways of the blacksmith. A few years into his lessons around his 14 birthday his parents were killed in an unexplained machine accident at his home while he was at work. After hearing this he became more determined to master the machine his blacksmith teacher took him in but not being one to become a stress to others he joined the machinists under the tutelage of the best machinist in the land. Determined to find out what went wrong that caused his parents to die and master the ways of the machine Silus scours the world looking for any answers he can find to help master the way of machines.
