Biography:
Naoki hails from a small mountainside village in the country of Othard. Its high elevation has managed to stave off Garlean invasions and leave its citizens in peace. Due to its inaccessibility, all traveling and movement has to be accomplished by air, by griffin. The Torioi family is one of the prime breeders and handlers of the majestic creatures, not treating them as beasts of burden but as equals. Naoki was at peace with the birds, preferring their company to people. Once he received word that his older sister, Hana, had departed the village, Naoki had to take over full responsibility of the flock. He managed for a few years but worry eventually compelled him to leave to find her.
The young Raen stumbled away from Othard to Eorzea, somehow surviving many swindled deals and people wanting to take advantage of the naïve shepherd. In time he found Hana as the head maid of the Limit Break company, perfectly content with the easy and high-paying job. Boggled at this, Naoki swore to make sure she remained safe (despite her teases) and also hired on to the servant staff. Lacking none of the skills to be a decent manservant, Naoki struggles to do his best and improve around the house whether it be serving tea without spilling or doing laundry without shrinking the clothes.
