Restart-anime but possibly without actual restart. Although premise suggests that the girl inside the princess is a woman from modern age, and she is in a book. 1st episode did not suggest any of that, more like it was suggesting a mind transfer from the future.

Regardless of that, I can give credit to Chinese: once again they do amazing work with colors. Very vibrant, very detailed. I am curious what's that "black mage" guy is supposed to be, and how he is relevant to the story, so will give another episode a chance, but otherwise for me it's mostly looks for now. And I need more.

Episode 2:

Where did that book come from? Before those were memories, no? Like memories of a life, not of a story from a book. It is also very unclear how her learning dark magic would turn her into a villainess, let alone how she expected to get love from her father from that (especially if dark magic is considered taboo). Oh, and how could she even learn it, if she has no magic power? Or is it, as usual, "she has so much of it, that we can't detect it"?

Overall, I am not keen on the story structure. It feels like they are constantly skipping over things, with a plan to return to them later on. This is clearly done to make things more "mysterious". Even with the father it is already clear that he will turn out to be just anti-social, and lacking experience with children, rather than coldhearted or whatever. But the misunderstandings will be forced, and truth will be avoided just for the sake of it.
