They Riverdaled this show at x5 speed. Or TeenWolfed at x6 speed. It's not like first season was extra-ordinary, but it felt unique enough, and was... "Tight" in terms of narrative. Or, at least, tighter than the 2nd season. 2nd season felt like I was watching some kind of old cartoon for children age 5+ or something, but for teens, because of more mature references and scenes. Exactly like Riverdale and Teen Wolf became at around 5th and 6th seasons respectively.
Similarly to them the main problem is that the show got too overcrowded. The show is called "Wednesday", and 1st season was focused on her, which makes a lot of sense, since she is the main heroine. 2nd season still has the same name, but now tries to focus on like a dozen of characters, half of which, technically, continuing story-lines that were incomplete in first season, and another half - just purely not interesting [enough]. I understand desire to explore other characters and help build the world better (which was an issue before), but not like this. Even Arrowverse's interpretation of The Flash worked with side-characters better. Even when they returned some time later.
Overall, this season is best described by Tyler being chained naked in a psychiatric ward for rehabilitation. Makes no sense if you think about it, but looks good [for some]? Humor was lacking most of the time, too. I liked the snappy and witty version of Larissa Weems (played by Gwendoline Christie), it was very dynamic, but too bad it was very brief (while Wednesday was incapacitated). "Black Pink Version" of Wednesday was good, too, but again brief, and mostly to show that color allergy was literal. In the end felt like mostly a waste of time for me. Will not be watching 3rd season, and looks like there will be one. Ortega looks good in the role, but it's not enough.
