Episode 2:
The start of the 1st episode was quite slow, but perhaps that was meant to show Kakeru's mental anguish while attending that party. I definitely felt for him, because that's something I usually feel at such gatherings. When they moved to the main hook, though... Yeah, it was pretty good.
The initial awkwardness, the desire for someone else to handle things, guilt for feeling pity (or what is often considered as such)... Those felt quite realistic, grounded. VA also nailed the very slight but still noticeable note of bitterness, when the girl said that she was glad that she could see before. Or, at least, I think I heard that note. Also the way they animated how Koharu realized that Kakeru was wet was good, too.
It reminded me of Yubisaki to Renren, but it's kind of "reverse" I guess? Nagi was very enthusiastic about Yuki's disability, one may even say "pushy". If I remember correctly, it was one of the topics brought up in that show, the allusion to Nagi seeing Yuki as a novel toy. Kakeru on the other hand is very cautious, almost anxious. I think his reaction is closer to what most would have.
2 episodes did show good progression to the relationship, too. And dropped hints that "pity" may result in strong tension in the future. Unless they will make Koharu "bright and shiny" girl without additional depth. At least I would like to have 1 episode seeing this budding relationship from her perspective. I mean, the thoughts, not the visuals, obviously.
